Sometimes the hardest part about remodeling is deciding where to begin first! Regreen/Remodel may be a good place to start if:
- Your space feels boring, tired or uninspiring
- Rooms are not being used to their fullest potential (unused or over cluttered rooms apply here)
- You enjoy looking at home shows and shelter magazines but can’t figure out how to apply those concepts to your space
- Your budget and/or time constraints dictate that you remodel in fits and starts
- You want to manage your project, without going the whole DIY route
- You just don’t know where to begin!
Regreen/Remodel offers personal coaching and referral services, no matter where you are on the redesign spectrum. By the hour or by the project, we will help you determine the best use of your remodeling dollars.

Before/After Lakefront Cottage Kitchen Hartford, Wisconsin. Opening up the wall between kitchen and living area changed the whole dynamics of this space. Instead of opening this ceiling to the full height allotted the great room area, we kept the lowered ceiling and used the former attic space for sleepovers and high altitude movie viewing. An 80 year old library ladder sourced out on Ebay rolls out for quick access. The only “could have kicked myself” moment was that stunning cast iron sink. It was pulled to the side for potential reuse in another project, but got included in the sale when this house was sold several years later. Do you know what those things are worth today???

Before/After Lakefront Cottage Great Room Hartford, Wisconsin. This was the quintessential fishing cottage. With the exception of resident racoons, this summer cottage sat vacant for over ten years. We didn’t want to lose the cozy, retro atmosphere of a cottage on the lake, but we did want to bring systems and mechanicals into the 21st century. Stripped down to the studs, in went new electrical and plumbing, under floor radiant heat, Energy Efficient windows, and extra, extra insulation. The fireplace was unsalvageable; the new gas sealed firebox throws off enough heat to warm the whole 1800 square feet. With a nod to it’s well-worn history, we resanded and refinished the existing fir flooring, repurposed the original pine walls as ceiling and found decorative uses in the garden for the 80 year old fireplace stone. Even some of the quirky furnishings were rehabbed and put into service!
